About this task

Newer BVQ Versions may have major changes, such as loss of support for specific systems.
To keep long-term data of these systems, there are two options to proceed.

Procedure


Option 1

Keep your old long-term data for eventual future use and update to next BVQ Version.
Backup the specific VM, using best practice method of the vendor or 3rd party products & update your BVQ installation


Option 2

Keep your old long-term data for eventual future use and update to next BVQ Version.
Save the MongoDB folder for backup purposes on an assigned device, so you can use it when it is needed & update your BVQ installation.

  1. Stop the two services in the following order: bvq-server, bvq-mongodb
  2. Copy the "bvq-mongdb" folder to a place of your choosing
  3. Start the two services in the following order: bvq-mongodb, bvq-server
  4. Update your running BVQ

        ˫db                   
        ˫logs  



If the old BVQ is needed:

- we recommend using a different VM and place the "bvq-mongdb" folder, in the default path.

-Install the same BVQ Version, which has been installed before, (MongoDB) choose the prepared db & logs folders using the "browse" buttons.
