Track down a latency peak on IBM Flash systems using BVQ dashboards

This document describes how we use BVQ dashboards to track down the reason for a latency peak.
We created a short video to make this easier to understand.

In the first picture you can see the latency peak which shall be investigated deeper. We use 2 dashboards to do this:
Dashboards are very helpful to understand the origins of problems.
The next step is to use the BVQ Analysis GUI to find the root causes to really solve the problem.

We now use the MDisk group detail dashboard to find out where the Latency peak is coming from.
For this we first find out which MDisk group is the origin of the problem and then we look into the backend storage to find out which MDisks create the latency and later into the VDisks to find the server who is creating the problem.
