Enable notifications

The BVQ Server offers you the option, to get automated notifications. 

These automatic notifications are e.g.: by a violation of an alerting rule or the finishing of a report.

Initial setup

After logging in to the BVQ Server, navigate to the main tab Administration (1) and then to the sub tab Notifications(2).

Here you can configure, the way you like to get the notification.

Enable notifications via E-Mail

If you like to get the notification via Mail, you have to configure the E-Mail server first.

Just use the +E-Mail button (3) in the Server section (4).

The Edit email server configuration will be shown now.
The Username (5) and Password (6) are not required to save (7) the configuration but have to fit to your email server setup.

After setting up the Email server, you can create the E-Mail notification by clicking on the +E-Mail button (8) in the Notification configuration section.

The Edit email configuration will be shown now.

All necessary parameters are defined by the titles of the fields.

After setting up the email configuration, use the Save button (10), to finish your work.

After finishing the E-Mail notification, you will be able to edit the configuration (11), check the configuration by sending an Test E-Mail (12) or delete the configuration (13).

Enable notifications via Slack

If you like to get the notification via Slack, just click on the + Slack button (3) in the Notification configurations section (4).

The Edit Slack webhook configuration will be shown now.

All necessary parameters are defined by the titles of the fields.

After setting up the Slack notification configuration, use the Save button (5), to finish your work.

After finishing the Slack notification configuration, you will be able to edit the configuration (6), check the configuration by sending a Slack test message (7) or delete the configuration (8).

Enable notifications into a File

If you like to get the notification into a file, just click on the + File button (3) in the Notification configurations section (4).

The Edit file configuration will be shown now.

All necessary parameters are defined by the titles of the fields.

After setting up the file configuration, use the Save button (5), to finish your work.

After finishing the file notification configuration, you will be able to edit the configuration (6), check the configuration by writing a test notification into the file (7) or delete the configuration (8).

Enable notifications inside the BVQ web server

If you like to get the notifications inside the BVQ web server, just click on the + Web button (3) in the Notification configurations section (4).

The Edit web configuration will be shown now.

After setting up the web notification configuration, use the Save button (5), to finish your work.
